As I was taking a snapshot of the Red Coach Motor Hotel across Polk Street, this fierce transvestite approached me, "are you a professional photographer?" I told her, "I guess so. People pay me for my pictures."

"Take my picture, girl!" she snapped. And she proceeded to tell me her life story.
